Root Touch-Up & Grey Coverage
A root touch-up colours just the new growth at your roots to match the rest of your hair, covering grey and refreshing your colour without changing your overall shade. It is faster and gentler than a full colour, and the easiest way to stay polished between bigger appointments.

When is a root touch-up the right choice?
If your lengths still look good and only your roots have grown out, a touch-up is all you need. We match your existing shade and apply colour precisely to the regrowth, feathering it so there is no hard line. If your colour has faded all over, we will suggest all-over colour or a gloss instead, so you only pay for what gets you the result.
How often, and what to expect
Most clients come in every four to six weeks, depending on how fast their hair grows and how much grey they are covering. The appointment is quick, usually around an hour to ninety minutes. We can also recommend a root concealer or a shade closer to your natural colour to help you stretch the time between visits.
Why clients love our root touch-up & grey coverage
Faster and gentler
Only the regrowth is coloured, so it is quicker and easier on your hair than full colour.
Seamless match
We match your existing shade so there is no line where the new growth meets the rest.
Keeps you polished
A quick visit every few weeks keeps grey covered and colour looking fresh.

Common questions about root touch-up & grey coverage
How much regrowth should I have before a touch-up?
Usually a few weeks of growth, around half an inch. Too little and it is not worth the visit, too much and the line can be harder to blend.
Can a root touch-up change my colour?
It is meant to match what you already have. If you want to go lighter, darker, or a new shade, that is all-over colour, which we are happy to do.
Does it cover stubborn grey around the hairline?
Yes. Coarse, stubborn grey around the temples and hairline is exactly what we formulate for so it covers evenly.
Can I do a touch-up at home between visits?
A root concealer spray or powder is fine to stretch the time. Box dye is best avoided, since it builds up and makes future salon colour harder.
